The Center of Nanotechnology and Tissue Engineering (CNET) has been developing and applying new drugs with nanotechnology in various health areas.
Non-toxic drugs, with localized action of visible light, with Nanotechnology Pharmaceuticals, new delivery systems for active drugs for the most different types of pathologies.
In an emerging area such as Tissue Engineering the group has been working in the construction of organs in the laboratory (with artificial skin, trachea, esophagus) involving stem cells.
Food, dental, veterinary, and central nervous system diseases (Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Gliomas), new drugs and applications have been studied in the group.
