Lidia Bazarian, pianist

Her artistic path as a soloist and a chamber musician reveals and highlights interpretations of works related to the production of present-day music from the 20th and 21st centuries, with premieres and recordings of countless contemporary national and foreign works, valuing this repertoire and collaborating effectively with the most active composers.

With a Bachelor of Arts from ECA (Escola de Comunicações e Artes) of Universidade de São Paulo, in the class of Caio Pagano, she continued her studies with Daisy de Luca and Beatriz Román.

As a CNPQ fellow, she did a postgraduate course in piano in the class of Edson Elias, at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

Lidia toured Brazil, the United States (Washington and New York), several countries in Europe Portugal, France, England, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden), and Japan.

She performed abroad as a soloist, in chamber duos and as a pianist in the groups Novo Horizonte, Sonâncias and Camerata Aberta - which received the APCA Award in 2010 and the Bravo Award! 2012 for the best classical music CD.

Among the recorded CDs, the following are the most celebrated: Paisagem Brasileira - Brazilian music for piano and flute – a CD recorded in London with the flutist Marcelo Barboza (Meridien Records); Trópico das Repetições with works for solo piano by Silvio Ferraz (SESC label); Música de Câmara Brasileira with chamber music by Marisa Rezende, Gilberto Mendes and Edson Zampronha (LAMI label); ResSonâncias (LAMI label) with works by contemporary Brazilian authors; Espelho d'Água and Sobreluz (SESC label) with Camerata Aberta; Fragmentos de um Inverno Solar as a member of the Trio Tokeshi Rosas Bazarian and Imaginário (LAMI label) - her first solo Cd - nominated for the Bravo! Award 2012 for best CD of classical music.
