Adriana Lopes Moreira

Dr. Adriana Lopes Moreira is a professor at the Department of Music (CMU) of the School of Communications and Arts (ECA) at the University of São Paulo (USP, 2004-), and at the Graduate Studies of Music (PPGMUS-ECA-USP, 2010-), in disciplines of Theory, Perception and Musical Analysis. She is Coordinator of the CMU Undergraduate Coordination Committee (2017-); Coordinator of the Research Group entitled TRAMA: Theory and Musical Analysis, focused on the application of emerging theoretical concepts for the analytical practice of musical works (ECA and CNPq, 2015-); and Co-coordinator of the International Meetings of Musical Theory and Analysis, EITAM (2009-). Previously, she was Editor-in-chief of ANPPOM publications (2011-15), which include the scientific journal OPUS (Qualis-CAPES A1), the Brazilian Music Research series and the scientific coordination of the annual congresses. As a pianist, he recorded the 16 Poesilúdios de Almeida Prado, which are part of his Master's dissertation, defended in 2002, in the presence of the composer. This dissertation won the José Maria Neves Prize, awarded to what were considered the two best dissertations in the area of Music developed in Brazil in that five-year period.
