During 2011, in the context of a research project funded by the Brazilian agencie FAPESP, the PaloLab conducted field work in the permian rocks of the Irati and Estrada Nova formations in the areas of Alto Garças and the Araguainha Dome, as well as in the cretaceous beds of the Bauru Group in the areas of Tangará da Serra and Chapada dos Guimarães.
